Assignment 1: Job Board
Below this text is a button to take you to a google spreadsheet. On this spreadsheet you will find various jobs posted by Mr. MacLean and other teachers/administration in the school. You will be required to finish the equivalent of 600 minutes worth of jobs. This means you will need to track your time spent completing the jobs on the spreadsheet. Mr. MacLean must approve the time spent on every job. This assignment will make up approx 40% of your final mark.
Assignment 2: Mentorship
Your task is to take a grade 11 under your wing and work in collaboration for an entire module (20 level). Choose wisely as working for an entire module with a grade 11 with be an exhaustive amount of work. Work will be expected to be approximately double the quantity/quality of if it was completed individually. The module will be handed in collectively (hand in two copies: one in the grade 12 practicum folder, one in the module folder of the grade 11). Grades will correspond to the module rubrics. This assignment will make up approximately 20% of your final mark.
Assignment 3: Personal Development Reflection
This assignment involves two parts: Goal setting and reflection. You will choose an area of growth that you wish to work on during your time in my class/job. Some examples of areas of growth are:

Professional Behaviour
Self esteem/ confidence
Ability to meet deadlines
Attendance
You may choose an area of growth from the list above, or you may choose your own. Once you have chosen an area of growth, please express two more things: a target for the semester and 2 strategies you will use to improve upon your area of growth. Please record your ideas on this form within the first two weeks of your time in this class. How well you achieve your goals will be worth approx 20% of your mark.

You have been added to myblueprint.ca/cbe in my class. Choose school account login and login with your school credentials.
Myblueprint is a career planner that syncs with powerschool and your google drive. It will allow you to explore various careers according to your high school course selections. You can take surveys to develop your self awareness of your skills and strengths and those surveys will also sync with powerschool and further give you recommendations for the world of work after high school. This program will also show you any gaps that you might want to fill in your resume. Your Employability and Occupational Competencies mark will mostly derive mostly from your interaction with the program and your highschool and career planning.

Your overall professionalism will be assessed within this course. This means, lateness, language and all other "soft" skills that an employer will be looking for within a occupational area. If you do not show up on time willing to work diligently, your mark will suffer and you may ultimately not obtain credits from this course. These "soft" skills will make up 20% of your final mark.
