High School Assessment Rubric:
Game Design:
We are going to start our journey on game design today. I have students who have followed all these tutorials and have made a minimalistic platformer. Beware... this is one of the tougher credits in my class and combines both coding and a very complex hud. It works, and Brackeys is amazing, but I am also at the beginning of my game development journey, so I am learning with you.
Assignment 1: Tiles and Properties
Assignment 2: 2D Movement
Assignment 3: 2D Character Animation
Assignment 4: Tilesets and Level Design
Assignment 5: The Camera
Bonus Raster Graphics Assignment:
Here is a photoshop tutorial that illustrates how to make your own pixel art sprites. This assignment counts toward a Raster Graphics credit.
