The Art of the Quicksell
Any of you who have ever tried to sell something know that it's not the easiest thing in the world to do. However, we live in a world that wants your money, all of it if possible. They would also like it as fast as possible with minimal fuss or effort. This weeks question addresses how to accomplish this...
Why are magazines considered an impulse buy? Why are they situated where they are in the (grocery, book, convenience) store and how does typography facilitate (make it happen) this quick sell?
Your task is to sell, myself and the class a magazine in less than one minute.
Same deal folks, 5 parts to the assignment:
1. Planning: I will need to see some sort of mind map, chart, graphic organizer that has shown you have organized your thoughts before beginning
a. format again is up to you: traditional Photoshop, paint, publisher programs will be the norm, however selling can definitely go beyond these mediums
b. content is also up to you, plan something awesome that you love and can relate to
2. Creating: Get to it! This step has you getting your hands dirty trying new things with type fonts and the elements and principles of design
3. Reflecting: Telling me how everything worked well, or didn't seem to work at all. There is a chart included on the word and Pdf's for your convenience to organize your thoughts
4. Handing in: Again buttons at the bottom of page to tell me how you are handing it in.
5. Presenting: the art of the one minute sell, a small prize to however sells more magazines in each class
