Question 1: How are there so many user generated websites on the internet? Is building a website that hard?
In this question you are going to demonstrate your knowledge in creating a WYSIWYG website. The most basic of web 2.0 technology.
During this question we are going to build a website to hold All of the Things! To do this we will first need a Gmail account that you can access and use. Nicely enough the Calgary Board of Education has provided us with one. Refer to the Gmail page attached to this one if you have not set up your account as of yet. If you already have your gmail account you may go straight to the weebly website and create and account and start messing around. |
What I need to see on your Weebly:
1. A home page. This is the page that people will land to. Make it pretty, or awesome, or eye catching, or something other than generic.
2. A digital citizenship page: (Craft the skeleton and we will come back to this)
2a. On a separate page attached to your digital citizenship page please explain to me the differences between web 1.0 and web 2.0 and find and list as many examples of web 2.0 technology as you are able (again, make your webpage exciting, use graphics and video etc)
3. A humour page: find examples of things across the web you find funny and post them here.
4. A blog page: Your thoughts... a minimum of 5 sentences about a topic of your choice is required.
5. A word of warning, everything must be school appropriate.
Once you have completed your website please fill in the information on the following form:
